Behind the scenes, we have been working together with the great people at Mindz.com for a while. Some of the results have been visible already: the all new Twitterfountain2.0 was made possible by them.
Mindz.com is a social network that helps individuals build their brands, alongside of their network. Users can easily create networks, events and organize their networks with Mindz.com. Mindz.com has been gaining ground for some time. Co-founder Ronald van den Hoff blogged about their ever increasing reach recently (Dutch article), they now have over a 1000 unique daily visitors and are growing into the top ten of popular social networks in The Netherlands.
Yesterday saw some more news: the integration of Twitterfountain in the events-section of Mindz.com. When users create a new event, they can simultaneously create an accompanying Twitterfountain bu simply entering the appropriate hastags. The Twitterfountain is then created on the fly and added tot the page for the event.
I created a few screen shots for your enlightenment and pleasure:
-
-
Setting some basic info for the Mindz.com event

-
Entering hashtags for the event and the Twitterfountain

Previewing the results for the hashtags that I entered

As of February 1st, we will switch over all existing version 1 Twitterfountains to the new version 2.0. If you’re using a version 1 Twitterfountain, you probably won’t even notice the switch. Except that, from Februari 1st, you will see a little pop-up message in the Twitterfountain telling you that you have been switched, and inviting you to come over here an get the new embed-code to enjoy all the new features.
Which new features? Well: there is a whole bunch of new animation styles, both for tweets and photo’s, you can use photo’s from Flickr or Picasa; we now support Twitpic and YFrog images as well, and there are alot more ways that you can customize the appearance of the Twitterfountain.
So, check your old blogs and pages starting February 1st and replace your TF to enjoy the best new version of Twitterfountain so far!

- hide the title bar
- seat a custom logo
- set a custom background
- New sources:
- You can choose between flickr and Picasa as image source
- You can select to display Twitpic and YFrog images as well
- Animations:
- We offer three animation types for the background images: Slideshow, Moving Slides and Stack
